Layering is a common concept for anyone in winter, and layers of sheets, blankets and quilts made a sleeping arrangement warm and warmer.

The shared body heat from a pet can help.
If we ever find ourselves dealing with a survival scenario and it's challenging to stay warm, of course, having Fido at your side can make the world of difference. Layering can help too, so if there's room in that get home bag be sure to pack some extra clothing.
Do some research as to which materials will keep you the warmest and if you can throw some extra blankets in your bug out vehicle because it's important to be prepared!
