There's always a chance that someone could break into your house or invade your home, causing damage, harm, taking things, and possibly worse.
Any kind of unwanted guest in your house is a bad thing and will most likely cause problems, so you want to be able to avoid those problems, with either keeping threats out or eliminating them as they've entered.
And while there several ways you could go about doing either of those things, one of the most common and simple ways to do it is use guns. They're a pretty foolproof method of self defense and home protection.
However, in some places, you may not want your guns just laying around. Maybe they're illegal where you live, you want the element of surprise on your side, or you don't need people coming across them and getting their hands on them. Regardless of the reason, you may find yourself having to hide your guns.
That's good, but you need to keep them easily accessible too. The best option for this is hiding them in plain sight, so you can get to them easily but nobody notices them. And that's what this genius guide will teach you!
Here's how to hide your guns around the house in plain sight, from our friends at Survival Cache.
Hiding Home Guns
Where to hide an easy to grab defensive weapon?
Walk the house, tour every room, including the kitchen and bathrooms. Where do you spend the majority of your time in the house?
Scan each room with the singular goal in mind to identify secure locations to place or hide a firearm. Maybe among the books in a bookshelf, on a fireplace mantle, down beside the cushion of a couch, next to the television or stereo system.
Nearby every entry door, maybe on an umbrella stand, or next to a flower vase on a table. Perhaps there is a foyer piece of furniture to hide it.
At other entries, maybe hangers mounted above the doors, or a window sill. They may be placed visible inside, but never allow them to be spotted from the outside.
Be creative where you hide home guns, but always with safety in mind. Propping a shotgun in the corner of a room may be convenient, but not secure.
Place them with care, and practice moving to those locations, and drawing the weapon into a defensive position. And then hope it never comes to that. But, if it should, you’ll be ready.
It's simple as that! Now you know how to find the best places to hide a gun and how to pick your own! To learn more awesome survival tips and tricks, please visit Survival Cache.
