Out in the wilderness, once you lose one of your items or tools, it's not coming back. Compasses don't grow on trees, and you can't find knives buried in the ground. However, nature is still chock-full of resources you can use to make things like that!
Sometimes, it's better to get your tools this way. You don't end up with something complicated or too heavy and encumbering. Plus, it's simple and easy to make! So, this guy has a great tutorial on making a tool like this. He calls it a “real” survival tool, because of how primitive yet useful it is!
Check out his tutorial on this awesome tool below:
This tool is easily one of the best I've seen, and it's completely makeshift! I know that the next time I head out into the wild, I'm definitely bringing one of these bad boys with me. The uses for them just don't seem to end!
Another great thing about them is their simple design. With that, I can easily modify or add to it however I like. Talk about a versatile tool!
