This takes the cake for one of the most amazing survival homes out there, and the time lapse of it being built is equally awesome. This is an earthbag home, made of tons of bags of tightly packed dirt, similar to sandbags, as well as some wooden frames for openings and extra support.
Now, that little lesson might seem a bit of a snooze, but the time lapse of one being built is the opposite. It’s just so cool watching the home get made, and all the layers of earthbags being intricately packed and placed. Not to mention it makes a great DIY tutorial.
Somehow made in only exactly 2 months, this is an insanely sturdy shelter. And the end product is astounding, a full fledged shelter with no signs of weakness or failure.
And you’ve got to hand it to the workers. Two straight months of working and slaving over this project, even power-housing through freezing snows. That’s what you call dedication, and they were definitely paid off in the end with an awesome shelter.
